On the afternoon of December 23, 2020, the video conference between Hebei Medical University and National University of Galway, Ireland was held in Conference Room 601 of the Administration Building. Feng Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the HMU Party Committee and Vice President, Tian Qingbao, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, Yu Hong, Deputy Director, Ma Jun, Deputy Director of the Stem Cell Center, Professor Timothy O'Brien, Dean of the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, NUI Galway, Professor Shen Sanbing, Professor Martina NíChulain and relevant personnel from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Director Tian Qingbao.
Vice President Feng Jun delivered an opening speech and proposed the conception and vision of the two parties to jointly establish a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution. Deputy Director Yu Hong and others explained in detail the cooperative education policy, the running situation of the Alberta College of Wenzhou Medical University and the potential cooperation majors between the two sides.Dean Timothy, Professor Shen Sanbing and Professor Martina NíChulain of the NUI Galway also expressed their sincerity and confidence in cooperating with our university. At the meeting, the two parties also discussed the possibility of cooperation in rehabilitation therapy, nursing, midwifery and clinical medicine. At the end of the meeting, Vice President Feng Jun gave a concluding speech, fully affirming the future development of the cooperative school establishment by both parties.
