On the January 13, 2022, Hebei Medical University and National University of Ireland, Galway, jointly held the sixth video conference of Chinese foreign cooperation running schools. The video conference was attended by Professor Timothy O'Brien, Professor Shen Sanbing, Prof. Agnes Shiel, Prof. Dympna Casey and other relevant personnel from NUIG. Vice President Wu Yuming, Dean's Office, Admissions Office, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Basic Medical Science, School of Medical Technology, School of Nursing and other relevant departments and professional leaders attended the meeting. The conference was presided over by Prof. Tian Qingbao.

  At the meeting, Vice President Wu Yuming and Prof. Timothy O'Brien delivered speeches respectively. The two sides first introduced the progress of the cooperation programs and institutions of the two schools. Subsequently, the two sides had a full discussion on the training program of rehabilitation therapy, the training program of biomedical and basic medicine, and the training program of nursing and midwifery.

    The meeting also discussed in detail the issues that need to be paid attention to in the course of cooperation between the two parties, the course period setting, course evaluation, teaching methods, teacher allocation, student internship and other contents.

   This video conference is of great significance to further promote the work of the cooperative educational institutions, the application of the cooperative educational institutions and the implementation of the specific rules of the professional training programs.
