On March 15th, 2022, the seventh video conference between Hebei Medical University(HMU) and the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) was held in Room 611, Administration Building. The video conference was attended by Prof. Timothy O'Brien, Prof. Shen Sanbing and other related personnel from NUIG. Prof. Wu Yuming, vice president of HEBMU, Prof. Yu Hong, deputy director of the international office, Prof. Ma Jun, deputy director of the stem cell center and relevant staff attended the meeting. Prof. Tian Qingbao, director of international office and relevant personnel also attended the video conference online. The meeting was presided by Prof. Yu Hong, deputy director of the international office.
At the meeting, VP Wu Yuming and President Timothy O'Brien delivered speeches respectively. The two sides first introduced the progress on the institution respectively, and then had a full discussion on the integration of professional courses, the number of recruiting staff, the guarantee of student enrollment, the payment of the recruited staff and the organization structure of cooperative institutions.
Prof. Tim said that personally he established a deep friendship and a profound foundation in scientific research cooperation with Hebei Medical University. He affectionately expressed his gratitude to Prof. Zhai Haihun, Party Secretary of the HEBMU Committee, and looked forward to reunion after the pandemic. At the same time, he also expressed his confidence and determination in the cooperative institution. He said that although this project is full of challenges, he will do his best to promote the application of the institution. Later, Prof. Wu Yuming also conveyed Prof. Zhai Haihun’s greetings to Prof. Tim at the meeting and thanked NUIG on behalf of HEBMU. She also sincerely welcomed Prof. Tim, Prof. Shen and the program managers to visit HEBMU again in the near future.
This video conference is of great significance to further promote the application of cooperative institutions between the two sides.
